San Pablo City will host the 5th Alculympics 2013

San Pablo City- A Memorandum of Agreement was signed last May 30, 2012 at the HRM Hall, DLSP between the Dalubhasaan ng Lunsod ng San Pablo represented by Mayor Vicente Amante, Dr. Edelio Panaligan, College Administrator and Prof. Sigfredo Adajar and ALCU-ALCU-AA represented by Prof. Raymundo Arcega, Executive Dir., Prof. Mario Caparas, Chairman and Prof. Dominador Lera, Jr., Deputy Director for the hosting of the 5th ALCULYMPICS on March 3-10, 2013.

The DLSP will host the said sports competition to show the school’s support in the promotion and development of sports and solidarity among the ALCU (Assn. of Local Colleges and Universities) and ALCU-AA (Athletics Association) member schools.

Based on the MOA the City Gov’t and DLSP will provide venues for all the sports events and the dormitories/billeting of all the athletes and officials of the said event. They will also facilitates local funding, sponsorship and fund raising activities for the various operating expenses and development fund of the association.

The ALCU-AA will be in-charge in the technical aspect of the different sports events, evaluation of the sports facilities/venues, accept application and registration of the participating athletes, among others.

Also present during the signing were Mr. Paul Cuadra, Secretary to the Mayor and Over-all Event Coordinator; Prof. Annie Santiago, DLSP Sports Coordinator and Prof. Tomas Lopez, President, ALCU/UMAK.
